The Sealey LP3000 is a great idea, very powerful and effective, and the heating unit is well designed and constructed. The tripod stand could do with being taller, capable of pointing the elements downward so as to counter the effect of the glare from the IR tubes. It could also do with being a bit more rigid: keep all the bolts tight, especially in the tripod base, to prevent leaning and rocking. It’s better if used a little bit short of full extension. The power cable exits the unit right in the centre, so that it is always under pressure from contact with the stand if pointed horizontal or lower. This product is great but, with a few tweaks, it could be even better.

A good piece of kit for the money, I'm very happy with the overall build quality and performance. As other people had experienced, the rest plate didn't fit well when assembled and a certain amount of filing was necessary to provide sufficient clearance from the sanding disc.This is not a major problem to solve for the average DIYer so don't be put off from buying one. Hence only 4 star rating.

This may be one of the cheapest tools in my collection, but if I need to get off stubborn wiper arms then it's by far the most valuable.
I've had numerous VW's and Audi's that have been prone to wipers slowing with age due to crud getting in the linkages, so I'm no stranger to removing wiper arms. As they rarely get touched, they're one of the parts that really don't want to be budge.   Many people on the forums have cracked windscreens and knuckles trying to remove wiper arms without one of these, and after battling with mine one time, I though for the sake of a few quid I'd invest in a proper tool.   30 seconds later and without any fuss, the arms pop off. This is one of those tools you should never be without!
When it arrived I didn't think it looked man enough for the job, but I was wrong.   Just slip it over the arm and spindle, a few simple turns and a gentle tap a small hammer and the arms just slip off. It amazed me when I'd spent an unsuccessful hour trying to prize it off before buying this. I suppose it's because all the leverage is evenly distributed and no energy is wasted.
I give this 5 stars as it's cheap, well made and saves me a lot of time and grief.   If you're (more...)

Very useful tool which has come in handy on more than one occasion. Plenty long enough, and has got me out of trouble retrieving those awkward plastic components when the magnetic pick up tool will just not work. Flexible for guiding around bends and the claw opens plenty wide enough for most small items.

I originally bought myself this inspection lamp from Amazon and thought it would make an ideal Christmas present for my brother. After a bit of searching I found Justoffbase selling the same thing here, but cheaper, so I've bought one for him.
The lamp itself is very heavy duty and extremely bright. You can see why it came top in so many reviews/tests. The LED's are bright enough to see through time itself, but it's the magnets that are by far the best feature meaning you can actually work with 2 hands on your car. You'll wonder how you managed without one before. Trying to balance the light on the engine and angle it in a direction that's actually useful is a thing of the past now.
If you do any work on vehicles then you have to get one of these. It's not the cheapest lamp on the market, but you really do get what you pay for - this'll last for years

The only downside is the size. I consider myself to have an average sized hand, but theses average (Medium) sized gloves are too small. They are stretchy, but they do make my hands ache. Buy the Large and you will be very pleased.

Like most irons, it is lightweight and can be easily disturbed after placing it down by nudging it or moving the mains lead. Very useful for those stubborn nuts and bolts. Long enough to give you enough leverage and short enough to fit in my tool chest. Can be a bit unwieldy in those tight spaces, but beats putting a ring spanner on the end of a ratchet. You will need strong sockets to withstand the force, which is why I went for the 1/2 inch drive.

I bought this together with a Sealey 17mm alloy wheel socket (SX03017) for my wife to carry in her car, after she got a puncture and was stuck because she couldn't undo the wheel bolts. Good solid tool and plenty of torque with the 450mm length handle for stiff wheel bolts! Would buy again.
