The Sealey LP3000 is a great idea, very powerful and effective, and the heating unit is well designed and constructed. The tripod stand could do with being taller, capable of pointing the elements downward so as to counter the effect of the glare from the IR tubes. It could also do with being a bit more rigid: keep all the bolts tight, especially in the tripod base, to prevent leaning and rocking. It’s better if used a little bit short of full extension. The power cable exits the unit right in the centre, so that it is always under pressure from contact with the stand if pointed horizontal or lower. This product is great but, with a few tweaks, it could be even better.

Good all rounder. The rubberised impact resistant case has proved useful, as it has taken a few bumps as survived. Does all you would expect of a fairly basic tester. Easy to read from a distance, so you can leave it connected whilst you 'fault find' further along the circuit. Audible complete/open circuit bleeper is very handy. No carrying/storage case which would have been useful, otherwise just what I expected. Good value.

I bought this together with a Sealey 450mm breaker bar (AK7301) for my wife to carry in her car, after she got a puncture and was stuck because she couldn't undo the wheel bolts. Nice deep socket so breaker bar clears wheel even with head at right angles to shaft, plastic outer sleeve saves any damage to wheel lacquer which is a good feature. Would buy again.

Good quality gloves. You don't get a great deal of 'feel' through the leather - but for that you need a fingerless pair. The velcro fastening keeps the debris out of the glove. The only downside is the size. I consider myself to have an average sized hand, but theses average (Medium) sized gloves are too small. They are stretchy, but they do make my hands ache. Buy the Large and you will be very pleased.

Like most irons, it is lightweight and can be easily disturbed after placing it down by nudging it or moving the mains lead. Poor product. I've found it impossible to achieve an airtight seal when using the 1/4" to 1/2" adapters supplied (PTFE tape used). Sealey have checked several others for me and found the same problem. Also attaching even a very lightweight tube to the drain tap stops the automatic valve from working reliably. Great service from Sealey Technical Support though.

Good quality socket that is the most used socket in the box. Flank drive gives the best use of force with a smaller chance of 'rounding'. My previous one from my SnapOn set split when I used my breaker bar on it because my 1/2" drive went missing. If you don't do what I did, this socket should last a lifetime.

I originally bought myself this inspection lamp from Amazon and thought it would make an ideal Christmas present for my brother. After a bit of searching I found Justoffbase selling the same thing here, but cheaper, so I've bought one for him.
The lamp itself is very heavy duty and extremely bright. You can see why it came top in so many reviews/tests. The LED's are bright enough to see through time itself, but it's the magnets that are by far the best feature meaning you can actually work with 2 hands on your car. You'll wonder how you managed without one before. Trying to balance the light on the engine and angle it in a direction that's actually useful is a thing of the past now.
If you do any work on vehicles then you have to get one of these. It's not the cheapest lamp on the market, but you really do get what you pay for - this'll last for years
