Vax Mach Air Upright Vacuum Cleaner Review (1.5L capacity)

I was very apprehensive to purchase the Vax Mach Air since my previous vacuum cleaner was doing a pretty good job. However, it broke down and I purchased Vax on a whim. I got it at half the cost of my other cleaner and assumed that the quality would also be the same. But, boy was I wrong! Not only is the Mach Air as good as my previous cleaner, but it’s actually better!

• Powerful suction

Okay, so it took me only 15 minutes to clean my bedroom. For me, that’s pretty fast because I take a look of time cleaning all the nooks and corners before I’m done. Cleaning the carpet was a shocker – I found an unbelievable amount of hair, which tells me that the previous Hoover wasn’t as good as I thought.

The suction is very powerful and considering that I have two pets, I love powerful vacuum cleaners that get the job done. I saved more time cleaning the carpets, but I reckon they don’t need to be cleaned more than twice a week because this little baby grabs all the hair and then some more!

You can also clean the sofas with the turbo tool (not sure what it’s exactly called). I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the amount of dirt and hair deposited in the small little crevices. Human hair, pet hair, little chunks of food items (thanks to my grandkid!) – this one cleaned it all.

• Quiet

I hate noisy Hoovers. Simply hate them. For this reason, I don’t mind paying extra to get a quiet one. The Hoover I was using until one was quiet, but not as quiet as this one. After extensive research, I found that this vacuum was advertised as a quiet one, but I wasn’t sure. Now that I bought it, I can tell you that it’s super quiet. So much that it didn’t wake up my granddaughter who’s a light sleeper. The previous Hoover had me waiting for her to wake up so I could clean, but I don’t have to wait anymore! The fact that it’s so quiet made me give 5 stars, and I’d rate higher if I had the option.

• Cheap

Did I mention that I paid half the price of my previous Hoover? Boy, do I love a bargain (who doesn’t?) So, although I wasn’t expecting wonders from this one because it’s cheap, I couldn’t believe that it’s as efficient as any of the other Hoovers I have purchased.

• Lightweight

I’m well beyond the age of lifting heavyweight cleaners. Even if they do a good job, they seem rubbish to me because I can’t use them on the second floor. What astonished me was the weight of this one. It was so easy to handle that even this old lady could carry it to the second floor! I vacuumed the stairs as I went along without any trouble.

• Bagless

The Mach Air has no bag, and it’s super easy to clean. Simply clean and dump the waste when you’re done – easy peasy! The long hose makes it far easier to clean too.

Actually, none that I can think of. Compared to the previous models, this one’s worth every penny.

Verdict

Considering that it’s lightweight and easy to use, I wouldn’t think twice before placing another order. My daughter’s getting one more. She has pets too, and I reckon that anyone with a desire to keep their homes clean without a lot of exertion should get this one. This Vax cleaner comes with a dusting tool that makes it easy to clean on the go.

You can pick it up and clean any part of the house. I think it weighs less than 5 kilos, and the bagless system makes it very easy to clean. I am not even going to look for other models when I shop next time because this one’s really worth it. I only regret that I didn’t purchase on Black Friday, but since it is must cheaper than the other ones listed here, I don’t mind one bit.
